Sample Archive

Not every piece that leaves a textile workshop is completely flawless. B-grade items and prototypes often end up on landfills because, for larger brands, the quantities are too small to justify a separate sales channel. Additionally, big manufacturing facilities often lack the capacity or skills to carry out repairs.

Thanks to our local production here in Vienna, we have full control over this process. We (almost) always find an alternative to waste. In most cases, a minor flaw can be easily repaired with skill and time, leaving only a small visual quirk. The durability of our lingerie remains completely unaffected.

Besides crafting existing designs, another key part of our daily business is developing new cuts. This often means producing up to 15 prototypes in different sizes before we are truly happy with a design. These prototypes range from "almost there" to "a little goofy." We also continuously refine existing designs based on customer feedback.

Both B-grade items and prototypes go into our Sample Archive, which we open to the public twice a year in our store. Here’s an overview of what you might find:

  • Lingerie with minor flaws that we’ve repaired
  • Pieces with small pattern variations (e.g., elastic lengths)
  • Prototypes created over the past few months
  • Styles with only a few pieces left, where we urgently need to make space

Since nearly all these items have slight variations, trying them on beforehand is essential. That’s why our Sample Archive is only available offline in our Vienna Store .
